FULLFORCE was formed in late 2008 by Stefan Elmgren (ex Hammerfall), Magnus Rosén (ex Hammerfall, X World 5) and Mike Andersson (Cloudscape, Silent Memorial, ex Planet Alliance). Mike & Stefan started to compose songs right away and everything clicked really well. In early 2009 they talked to legendary drummer and friend Anders Johansson (ex Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Hammerfall)
about joining the band as their permanent drummer. Even thou Anders have his drum duties in Hammerfall he is just as much the drummer in FULLFORCE and is also involved in the songwriting.
Shortly after Anders joined FULLFORCE Mike had a chat with guitar phenomenon CJ Grimmark (ex Narnia) about CJ sharing the guitar duties with Stefan. CJ couldn’t say No to this opportunity so, also he joined the quintet. Nonetheless in early 2010 Magnus Rosén decided to leave the band mostly because he had taken too many musical jobs and had to sort out his future career and had to exclude a lot of projects he was involved in so, he felt he couldn’t dedicate the time needed for FULLFORCE. So, shortly thereafter Tommy Larsson (ex Heed) filled the empty bassplayer spot in FULLFORCE. In less than 24hours after the official announcement of FULLFORCE existence to the metal scene several respected magazines and webzines contacted the band to do interviews and asking about the band in general.
During spring 2010 FULLFORCE started to record their album which was completely recorded during fall 2010. In November 2010 FULLFORCE started to colloborate with German company Clandestine Music in order to find label partners etc to secure a release of their first album in 2011. FULLFORCE have this far done a few club gigs in Sweden but, they are planning to tour as soon as everything’s settled with recordlabels and other business partners.
Here’s some feedback from people that have listened to the FULLFORCE album:
”High quality of Mike Anderssons voice… love it…I can hear tones of Dio and Coverdale and Dickinson … its all in there. The band is great.. very tight…and very competent. Everyone sounds like they are enjoying the songs. Great intros that really draw you into the song. Each player has done a great job.
// Tony Martin (ex Black Sabbath)
”Very tight band, full guitar sound and very steady drums. The whole production is a good combination between modern metal with a vintage feel because of the big catchy choruses. As expected great vocals by Mike Andersson, powerful and soulful, a bit more aggressive which fits the music. In short, a very solid album, congrats!
